Questions
Straightforward answers to the questions that come up most often- before, during, and after the workshop.
The workshop
The Orientation Workshop is a structured method for closing the gap between knowing what to do and actually doing it. It draws on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and the Emotional Culture Deck to make emotional orientation practical. Not as a concept, but as something you can use the next day.
The workshop is structured around facilitated conversation, short reflective exercises, and direct input from the facilitator. No role-plays, no forced sharing, no performance metrics. You leave with at least one concrete thing to try differently.
The standard format for individuals is 90 minutes. A full-day version is also available for deeper group work. For organisations, a 120-minute introductory session is available.
Currently all workshops run online. An in-person two-day intensive is planned for the second half of 2026. Details will be announced on this site and via the newsletter so make sure you sign up!
Who it's for
No. Everything is introduced in plain language, in context. The workshop is not a therapy session and requires no prior knowledge of ACT.
The workshop was designed with a neurodivergent-first perspective. Not as an afterthought, but as a starting point. The format allows thinking time, there is no requirement to speak in front of the group, and exercises are flexible enough to work with different cognitive styles. If you have specific access needs, let us know when you book.
The workshop is open to participants aged 18 and over. Anyone under 18 may attend with the written consent of a parent or guardian.
Booking & practicalities

Yes. Public workshops run regularly and are open to individuals booking independently. You don't need organisational backing or permission to attend.
All participants receive a written summary of the core practices after the session. We also believe that community is a critical part of sustaining the work and we are currently building one, with this website as its hub. More on that soon.
Public workshops can be booked directly through the site. For organisations or groups, get in touch via the For Organisations page and we'll come back to you within two working days.
If you cancel 14 days or more before the workshop date, you will receive a full refund. Cancellations made between 7 and 13 days before the date will receive a 50% refund. Cancellations made less than 7 days before the workshop are non-refundable.
